Mary & Robbs Westwood Cafe first opened its doors in the 1940s, founded by the husband-and-wife duo Mary and Robbs Singleton. What began as a charming neighborhood soda shop soon evolved into a beloved full-service restaurant by the late 1960s, becoming a local favorite for hearty meals and friendly service.

In 1979, longtime patron David Hekmat happened to be dining at Mary & Robbs for a business meeting when the then-owner mentioned his plans to sell. That unexpected conversation led David to take over the restaurant, continuing its legacy for decades.

In September 2020, ownership was passed to Roozbeh Farahanipour, who proudly carries forward Mary & Robbs’ rich history and community spirit — ensuring that the cafe remains a cherished gathering place in Westwood for generations to come.
